So Happy There Is A Fence Friday ...

One of my early afternoon captures as we reached Gunnison River and the Black Canyon there, one of the newest National Parks designated. If you have not visited there, it must be on your list. The vertical drops and tight canyon are amazing to see ... and the vertigo created while there at the edge I think rivals the Grand Canyon.

The rocks and layers exposed and patterns are amazing too.

If you look closely out on the edge of the point and the vertical drop in the near center of the image, there is a look-out point there with people and a fence. Helps give you a sense of scale here as well. Those people are glad there is a fence out there ... the drops are VERTICAL down into the canyon.

This perspective allows one to see down into the canyon and to the river.

Sunset light and passing storm clouds added quite the drama along the pretty canyon walls that line the Gunnison River in Colorado.
