The latest DRS Class 47 to cover the NXEA Thunderbird duty, 47828, is seen fired up in Norwich Low Level sidings on 29/01/12, shortly before being shunted on top of platform 1, prior to heading Up to Colchester the following morning.

47828 has 82118 & 90014 in tow after a bird strike to the 90's pantograph had operated its ADD whilst approaching Colchester on 1P25 09:30 Norwich to London Liverpool Street. It's seen decending Lakenham Bank on 23/07/12. Unfortunately the weather recently has caused the lineside vegetation to sprout up here which now means that you have to get the Up road contact wire across the roof of Down trains. I've never been a fan of 'looking down through the wires' shots, but from my usual spot on the bridge half the train disapears, so alas the contact wire is the lesser of the 2 evils!!
