Fortuna Bay, South Georgia.
Our fourth penguin species (of seven seen for the trip). These were part of an enormous rookery at Fortuna Bay. We had originally planned to land at the famous Salisbury Plain where there is an even larger King Penguin rookery, but a strong swell prevented the zodiacs from being able to land there. It didn't matter too much as there were several hundred thousand King Penguins here. Another fantastic sight and experience!

This was a special find - just a handful of these beautiful albatrosses were nesting on sheer, windswept cliffs. It was blowing an absolute gale here - you couldn't stand up in it, otherwise a watery end was in store!
