Scarlet-rumped Cacique (Cacicus uropygialis). Cabanas San Isidro, Cosanga, eastern Andes, Ecuador. The Birds of Ecuador fieldguide list this bird as the Sub-tropical Cacique, and claim that it is a larger bird, with a longer tail than the Scarlet-rumped Cacique. It is also restricted to the eastern Andes, 1000-2100m, whereas the S-rC has a distribution in the west, and is mostly found below 900m. Maybe this one might be resolved in the future into 2 different species officially.
