Thousands of people thronged the area. The barge of fireworks is in the middle of Lake Union. We arrived on the scene about 40 minutes before the show and staked out a spot high on the hill. It took a lot of effort to push through the crowd to that point and it took more effort to maintain our spot as the crowd grew.
