This sculpture was installed near the bridge over the Middle Fork Snoqualmie River. Clouds obscure our destination-- the mighty Mt. Si.

The lower part of the old trail to the top of Mt. Si traverses an old logging road converted to the Boulder Garden Loop Trail.

A cairn marks a rough trail looping around this enormous boulder on the Boulder Garden Loop Trail. The trail leads to a very steep and slippery ascent to the top of the boulder. I went up the ascent but was relieved I was able to crash through the bushes and find a less treacherous way off the boulder.
