When nearing Lake Lillian if one goes a few feet off the main trail, Lake Laura can be glimpsed below.

This sweet fire ring and nearby tent site is located next to the beginning of the peninsula. Thus it is not visible to most visitors to this lake. I really like the comfortable wood bench. What a romantic hideaway!

Guess I need to upgrade my panorama software. The software I used for this image did not allow me the control over processing I prefer. So this image has odd coloring in the foreground.

One of the things I like about this image is that the trail to the Rampart Lakes Ridge and ultimately the Rampart Lakes is visible on the other side of the lake.

The Lake Lillian outlet stream tumbles down a rocky cliff to Lake Laura. Here the outlet is covered by logs which facilitate crossing. I knew if I crossed the outlet stream I would be tempted to travel all the way around the lake. Doesn't that path look inviting? Reluctantly, I turned around here.
