On our way home after hiking the Iron Goat Trail, we decided to take a side trip into the small town of Index to photograph an historic hotel. Turns out the hotel is undergoing remodeling. Don't know yet if that is a good thing or not. But in any case, on the way to Index, I screeched to a halt after spying this vehicle hidden in the foliage on the side of the road.

Near the small town of Index, we stopped to photograph an interesting vehicle half hidden in the foliage by the side of the road. The owner came over and showed us his collection of aging vehicles. He said he and his wife traveled across the country in this vehicle several years ago. He proudly displayed the "art" he painted under the hood.

On the way to the town of Index, we halted to snap photos of a moss covered vehicle by the side of the road. The owner came out to talk with us. He said he had more old vehicles to show us. It appears he hoped to sell us a vehicle or two. He uncovered a whole line up of vehicles in various stages of disrepair. Even though this vehicle, and others, were covered they were still damp, rusting and moldy.....

Near Index, a man showed us his collection of old and deteriorating vehicles. This Ford was in pretty good shape compared to some of the others.
