One of my favorite hikes is on the Bird Box Trail on Dirty Harry's Peak. The drive is short, the views are great and while it is near a metropolitan area, I rarely see anyone else on this trail. The trail does not appear on maps and thus is not well known. In addition, side trails lead to great views from the tops of steep cliffs.

The Weeks Falls are a great place to stop after a hike off Exit 38 on Interstate Highway 90. While the falls are beautiful at any time of day, it is best to arrive before twilight!
