We took the old trail into Commonwealth Basin to the intersection with the old Miner Trail to Cave Ridge. Several wonderful waterfalls on Commonwealth Creek can be accessed via this trail.

A view of Guye Peak from the shoulder of Cave Ridge. Cave Ridge is named after the seven caves and numerous sink holes found on the ridge. There was still so much snow on the ridge that the tarns I came to shoot were still frozen over. Oh well, we had a great time with wonderful views.

The high point of Cave Ridge, elevation 5240, still had quite a bit of snow. My friend Wilbur is looking at Lundin Peak, Mt. Thomson and Red Mountain trying to decide which of these to ascend next.
