There are so many lovely snags on Mt. Ranier. The weather is intense in winter with an average snowfall at Paradise of 57 1/2 feet or 17.6 meters. Some trees don't survive. Their skeletons bleach to a lovely silver.

Way off in the distance is a small bump at the end of the ridge. That nodule is the Mount Fremont Lookout.

The Mt. Fremont Lookout was not open but I could see through the windows. In this shot, you can see my reflection, the rocks and clouds behind me as well as the mattress and other equipment inside the lookout structure along with the view and the people on the catwalk on the other side of the structure.
