The log cabin at Eagle Lake was constructed in 1930's and occupied for a number of years by a family. Pretty small for a family but times were different then.
In recent years it has been used by fishermen and hikers. Some users seem to make an effort to help keep the place up. But the last people who used the cabin left a half a bottle of whiskey, dirty dishes on the table, a partially eaten bag of chips on the floor and two bags of garbage. At least most of the garbage was bagged.

We hiked to Eagle Lake on the Fisherman's Trail and found the old cabin. Reportedly the cabin was built in 1930's. Someone is caring for it as it has a new roof and new windows, but it sure could use a good cleaning!

We hiked the Fisherman's Trail to Eagle Lake. We sat by the lake in the sun and ate lunch. Merchant Peak rises above the lake. Too much wind to get a good reflection though.
Explored.

We hiked through Paradise Valley to Eagle Lake. The trail is pretty muddy at times. Wilbur is pointing up to Mt. Townsend. This peak is a popular scramble. Wilbur wants to come back and hike up Mt. Townsend.
