We drove a long distance through desert punctuated with mining operations to get to the outpost of Silver Peak, Nevada. There are some historical buildings but we ended up not looking for them because the ramshackle derelict mobile homes surrounded by detritus were so depressing we headed out of town immediately. This was the only thing photographed there. And Wilbur kept the truck in gear while I hopped out to get the shot!
