An abandoned log house on the edge of town. There was also a barn. While there was a newer roof on the house, all of the buildings were deteriorating.

The landscape at Craters of the Moon National Park was formed by volcanic eruptions 2,000 to 15,000 years ago from the Great Rift, a series of cracks in the earth that stretched 52 miles. There is a trail to the top of one of the largest cones. This shot was taken toward the bottom. The people silhouetted at what appears to be the top are on a "false summit" we found to our chagrin! But it was worth it to go to the summit.

We hiked to the top of a large cinder cone where we got a view of the surrounding area. There were some rock formations that made a good bench for Wilbur.

The Mello-Dee Club is a bar which caters to locals in Arco, Idaho. Reviews on Yelp are quite outdated but complain about the smell of stale cigarette smoke. They may, or may not, sell steak, hard to tell. They do have a Facebook page which doesn't have current activity. But they have this interesting neon sign on the highway.
Happy Monochrome Monday!
