The sun puts on a colorful show as it sets over a receding tide along Oregon's beautiful scenic coast. This view is from Lone Ranch Beach which is part of Oregon's Sameul H. Boardman Scenic Corridor. This was my first visit to the Oregon coastline, and it was far too brief. I got just a taste of this amazing landscape and I hope to be back and soon.

The sun rises over some trees in the mountains not far from Crater Lake National Park. This was a lesson in getting up too late. After a late start, I did not make it to the park before sunrise, in part due to a false assumption about the weather. I can only imagine what this looked like from the crater rim, but it did put on a good show long enough for me to pull over and frame up a shot.

Heading into sunset, mostly cloudy skies create soft diffuse light that reflects in the terminus of a stream, making it look like it was a stream of liquid glass. This view is from Lone Ranch Beach along Oregon’s scenic coast.
