these two shots were taken around 10am, approx 70°F, in full sun with no shielding -- i then walked back indoors and let them develop face-up on my desk, not in direct light but exposed to ambient light. both (and a third, which i'll post next) turned out sort of hazy/faded compared to the entirely-indoors shot (previous)
(the colors are also off -- the naked ladies on the right are ok, but the squash blossom on the left was BRIGHT orange, & leaves dark green -- but we've been warned that color is not optimized in this test film, they were just focusing on the opacity layer. the haziness adds a reddish-pink cast, too, although that might be heat-related?)
i'd like to try some pairs with my next pack, shielding one as usual, not shielding the other, in various conditions of light...

finally got my little lens adaptor that allows me to use my dad's gorgeous old Pentax screw-mount lenses on my Canon DSLR -- and what a difference a lens makes! tried to shoot the same scene, a few minutes apart, both 50mm lenses and shot at 1/100 at f2.8 -- yet there's a huge difference in how they look! Canon "nifty fifty" 50mm f1.8 is the top image, Pentax's Super-Takumar 50mm f1.4 is the bottom...
