the lower left corner of this hatch WAS leaking, but i've covered with with some heavy-duty clear plastic & tpaed it down -- and presto, no more leak! plus the water collects in pools and bubbles on the plastic, making for a strangely psychedelic view first thing in the morning...

i had my first dinner party aboard Cachette last saturday, & so cleaned house -- i feel so damned lucky every time i go home to this lovely place.

i'm heading home now to buy some champagne & celebrate my one year anniversary of boat-ownership today!

today is the one-year anniversary of my purchase of this lovely boat (although I've only lived aboard for six months) -- unquestionably one of the best decisions I've ever made


(and if this photo looks vaguely familiar, it's very similar to this one of my neighbor's boat, but without the stripe & sunshine)
