the randall house in the olema valley, technically part of the GGNRA but managed by the staff at Point Reyes -- the house has an amazing history, but was neglected for years and nearly torn down -- until a rare species of bat was discovered living in the attic, and now it is maintained (boarded up and empty) as bat habitat.
another strange example of historic preservation in a national park!

the big hay barn at D Ranch -- the NPS seems to be doing some more stabilization work on the barn, but ignoring the other buildings at the ranch, which are very dilapidated...

a re-visit to the collapsed creamery (dating back to the 1880s or so) at D Ranch -- I still can't believe the NPS let this happen (it only collapsed last year) through its neglect.
