I spent saturday racing aboard Elan, one of the Express 37s that I love so much -- and before our first start, we flew the brand-new spinnaker, replacing the one that exploded during our Santa Cruz races last month.

my crew position was floater (helping out wherever needed) and squirrel, going below & helping pull the spinnaker down through the forward hatch during a douse -- and this is my view from the boat's forepeak, looking up out the hatch at Chris, the bowman, getting ready to bring the beautiful red kite down...
