old cork floor needs to be replaced (bamboo?), & most likely paint the cabinets white -- perhaps with a very pale turquoise in the back? not sure... also, that wall on the left, dividing the kitchen from the den-like space, will be taken down.

that wall at the end will get taken out, as will probably some of those end cabinets -- so the island will be free-standing, can walk around either side. stove still needs to be added, as does plumbing for the sink.
