i’ve been thinking all month about the literal and figurative meanings of this phrase — being both here (in Iceland) at the edge of the Greenland Strait leading to the Arctic Ocean, with fishing boats going by past my front windows -- but also being somewhat at sea personally, with lots of transitions happening and uncertainties ahead. i’m not sure this image speaks to all that, but it’s the closest i could get.

this month in the 12:12 Project was MY chosen theme, "At Sea," and I struggled to come up with anything but the obvious! humbled by the creativity of my fellow photographers -- please check them all out!
