The inspiration for this creation came from a long journey through South America, which I was lucky enough to make last year.

During the months I spent wandering the roads and trails of this marvellous continent, a number of images left their mark on my mind. I particularly remember the breathtaking landscapes of Bolivia's Isla del Sol, in the middle of Lake Titicaca, or the incredible archaeological sites in the heart of Peru's Sacred Valley of the Incas (starting with Machu Picchu).

When I think back on these memories that will stay with me forever, the hypnotic image of these Bolivian and Peruvian women in traditional dress, walking for hours every day, often on trails dating back to the Inca period, to reach the nearest village, almost always comes back to me. They fascinated me: what were they doing here, in the middle of nowhere? Where were they going? What were they carrying?

Through this creation, I want to celebrate them, and share with you part of the most beautiful adventure of my life.

The City of the Sun is built around a basaltic pilar, emerging from the grassy plain and reaching high in the sky. Water moves up from deep under the ground and creates a waterfall at mid height, irrigating the lands around.
The pilar is inhabited for as long as the people can remember, and slowly the buildings grew bigger and taller, as did the Sun temple at the very top of the rock.

Built for the ongoing Brick Pirate Challenge for which you have to build a MOC higher than 50 bricks and that can be contained in a 8x8 column.

I wanted to build a micro city and was struggling on how to do the housings... until I saw that minimalistic but yet so inspiring MOC!

Introducing my chocolate pistachio signature dessert.
On a bed of flowing chocolate lies a soft cookie topped with pistachio cream and chocolate ganache. The final layers are composed of airy caramel and crispy chocolate arches, which you'll need to break gently with your spoon.
The whole is embellished with pistachio chips, as well as small dots of salted butter caramel and chocolate from Ecuador.
