I do love a little bit of sliding when it comes to editing my images. Architecture especially can be made to pop with colour and clarity so here's an over-the-top Sunday slider of the famous Saffron Square tower in Croydon. Well, famous in Croydon at least. And yes, it really is that colour. I hear the architects were drugs tested shortly after this building was completed... (that's a joke by the way!) 😁

Anyone familiar with Croydon will most likely be scratching their heads at the pov used for this. In fact the lower brick structure is the multi-storey Ruskin Square car park and sits a half km away from the tower building you see behind it, which while appearing quite squat in the photo is actually 43 stories in height. So what you are seeing here is only the top 10 floors or so. The car park structure meanwhile is about 175 metres from where I was standing. So the entire image is very compressed, the result of shooting it with a 200mm lens which obviously has that effect.
