Another picture of the former Fox Factory, now Grade II Listed and awaiting redevelopment, it was established in 1790 by the Fox family and was the largest integrated woolen mill in the south west of England employing 2000 local residents around Wellington in Somerset.

Fox Brothers, Woolen and Worsted Cloth Manufacturers exists today and the business can be traced back to 1772 when the young Thomas Fox became a partner in the serge business of his grandfather's company in Wellington. So the Looms do continue, rescued in 2009 by Deborah Meadon (Dragon's Den) and Douglas Cordeaux.

To the right you can just see the Grade II Listed Wellington Monument, erected in 1854 and dedicated to the Duke of Wellesley.
