The eyes of the world will fall upon London for a while to come as millions of people mourn the loss of Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth II.
Royalist or republican, her life was undeniably extraordinary and from a young age she pledged devotion to the service of her country. A pledge she carried out unswerving right to the very end. A quality which we should all look up to. Her Majesty The Queen was not solely the Monarch of The United Kingdom, she was the matriarch too.
The loss of such a steadfast constant in our lives can bring loss and grief of its own and it can resurface loss and grief of our own family members that passed. Either way it is important to be gentle with yourself at such a time.
As we move from an Elizabethan Age to a Carolean Age the London Eye will continue to turn and the waters of the River Thames will continue to flow. While some things will never be the same again, many things will continue, change and grow.
May Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth II rest in peace.
May peace be with us all.
