Previously unpublished shot from March 2014. Captured with my old Canon 400D and a Sigma lens. Chase Jarvis once said that the best camera is the one that you have with you and there are plenty of online discussions over this being right or wrong. If you have no camera with you, however, then you are always going to miss the shot.
Side note: the sign on the pavement there appears to either say Rat Flesh or Eat Fresh and I can't decide which is more appropriate in these austere times!

I love the eye contact in this one and want to wish Flickr a very Happy 20th Anniversary. There are some awesome images in the Explore Take-over today including one from an old street photographer friend here on Flickr who passed away a few years ago. Sadly I was unable to get out with or without my camera over the weekend. Post-Traumatic Stress Disorder is an unpredictable beast that hijacks your plans and life. It is a disorder that also tends towards self-blame but, in a positive step from previously, I am not blaming myself for not getting out. Small wins are just as important as the large ones.
I'll try to take some photographs in the garden this week as I prepare and plan my vegetable garden for the coming spring. No pressure upon myself to do so though. Baby steps.
