A shot captured during Lockdown 1.0 in March 2020 while out on my allotted exercise walk. The 'quaint from this angle only' view of the old East Kilbride Village, Scotland.

From midnight tonight Scotland enters Lockdown 3.0 of the 2019/2020/2021 coronavirus pandemic. It will be illegal to leave the home for anything other than essential purposes although with freedom to exercise outside as much as you like I see this as being impossible to enforce.

The situation is dire though. Please stay safe everyone! Stay at home if you can, it just isn't worth the risk.

Street and social documentary photography captured during one of my few 'daily' exercise walks. This entrance to East Kilbride Shopping Centre, Scotland, would normally be buzzing with activity. In these dark times just a lone mobile phone user and the hint of someone exiting the complex with the obligatory pack of toilet rolls.

Captured in February 2021 during a winter 'lockdown' exercise walk, I feel compelled to get out and take some more shots around East Kilbride as I will be moving home soon and might have no need to return to this town. I just wish that my back pain would let up enough for me to be able to stand for more than just a couple of minutes.

Posed street photo-shoot for Halloween, taken on location in East Kilbride, Scotland. I asked my model, Julie, to 'play' with the knife and I couldn't have imagined a more sinister pose than this! Shot with a single remote flash angled to create the hard shadows across the face and catch the glint of the blade. This shot gave me nightmares!

The macrocosm of mosses sprouting from a sandstone block in a wall, taken in East Kilbride, Scotland, reminded me of looking at a map - hence the quirky title. I loved the warmth of colour in this as well as the texture.
