TEH1224 (left) is trialling Kindle displays, the latest from TfL's innovative attempts. As stated to be 'self-explanatory', a driver simply has to select the route and terminus options listed on a Kindle for the displays to change and may possibly be incorporated to all buses.

Route 312: Norwood Junction Station - South Croydon, Bus Garage
Approaching Cross Road.

The video begins with a photo of the driver being unable to get the vehicle turning onto Doyle Road on approach to Norwood Junction Station due to an obstructing parked car, hence passengers getting off the bus at the corner. The bus cannot reverse otherwise the engine will switch off and will cause further problems!

You then have the delight of seeing the vehicle max out at a limited 40mph, showcasing the bus' splendid acceleration, smooth driveline (albeit suspension feedback) and quiet engine sound. Well and truly one of London's best single-decker buses.

Batch 2465-2486 are allocated to new arrival route 49 which will start service with Abellio London from London United this weekend. Aboard 2473 (SN64 OEX), one of the early entrees currently being shared amongst Battersea (QB) routes, enjoy highlights of my journey on the 414 - including the unexpected engine switch off, calling the bus to a halt whilst turning into Edgware Road!

For night routes, iBus announcements tells its passengers the area they are entering. As an example and as seen in the video, on reaching Cricklewood Bus Garage in the direction of Victoria, you are now entering Cricklewood.

I have watched a couple of bus videos. I haven't really shown much interest to videos. Just photos. Anyway, onboard bus videos I have watched are just pointless, to be honest. I have seen quite a few in which have been recorded at the back of the bottom deck of a bus, with the viewer forced to stare at a boring bus seat facing towards you. The most entertainment you can possibly scramble for is the engine noise and the iBus System.

Well, I have decided to go one step better. I have done something different here. I have recorded from front view of the bus so viewers can see everything (like some videos I have seen), but the new thing is I have cut and edited the ride to just the best bits, and have added text commentary and music to enthuse viewers and entertain you to a certain extent that you want to watch the video over and over again. I really do hope you all enjoy!

Quality may be not to the highest, however it could not be of best quality due to the amount of storage it takes to save such a file and how long it takes to upload it.
