Metrobus route 202: Blackheath, Royal Standard - Crystal Palace Parade

Introducing the new Mark 2 version to the Wright Eclipse Gemini 3 is WHV42-80, entering service a few weeks early from Metrobus' contract renewal of route 202 from Croydon (C). The buses should be introduced to routes 119 and 405 for their new contracts this weekend, with route 202 making a full double-decker conversion by 12 September 2015.

Metrobus route 119: Purley Way, Colonnades - Bromley North Station
Departed East Croydon Bus Station (E1), towards Lebanon Road Tram Stop (A)
Go-Ahead London retained route 119 from Croydon (C) with new Wright Eclipse Gemini 3 bodied Volvo B5L [Mark 2] hybrid buses on 29 August 2015.
The buses do have the new Gemini 3 design, but besides this they are just your average Wright Eclipse Gemini 3 on the Volvo B5LH chassis - except like competitor the Alexander Dennis Enviro400 MMC the front inside seats on the upper deck do not provide the best view with the obstructing design curves.
I like these buses, even though at first glance of photos of the buses in delivery I was not impressed. The only problem with the new WHV is that the battery noise is annoyingly constant. Otherwise, the Mark 2 Gemini 3 is the same bus as the original with a new front.
