East London route N277: Crossharbour, ASDA - Islington, Angel

Stagecoach London started operating new route N277 from Bow (BW) last night, using mostly E40H MMCs allocated to the day service. I shouldn't have been surprised with the buses showing '277' instead of 'N277', albeit 'Islington, Angel' blinds available.
It is annoying how only recently had I began to use route 277 as a convenient link from north to east London via Highbury Corner just before I discovered it would be of short-lived use. The first stop alone was packed with demand for the service in one peak-hour commute I had onboard it, so I can only imagine how inconvenient this is for passengers who use the service daily.
The Hopper Fare comes in handy and credit must be given to TfL for its introduction, but it should not be used to justify cutbacks. Now, route 30 is the only way to connect Highbury to route 277 as it only runs from Dalston Junction to Crossharbour - this does trim the journey time of a slightly longer than average route but, at least according to my observations, does not work in conjunction with demand. Of course, anyone familiar on a daily or local basis with the route is welcome to argue with my disapproval or against it.

East London route 56: Whipps Cross, Roundabout - St. Bartholomew's Hospital

Ahead of Stagecoach London's new contract to route 257 last October, 12426-32 entered service on route 55. I missed the many opportunities to get them but I finally photographed one doing a rare working on the 56 instead, the bus showcasing the shortened "Bart's Hospital" displays I have also been intending to get off one of the route's E40Ds. Two-in-one.

East London route 277: Highbury Corner - Crossharbour, ASDA

Stagecoach London retained route 277 from Bow (BW) on 25 February 2017. Existing E40Ds were specified with new E40H MMCs, 12403-25, which entered service over a week early, however they initially made themselves more accessible for me on route 205.
Of course, route 277 was also re-routed from Leamouth in September 2016 to terminate at Crossharbour via the former route 135. If you knew the 135 prior to its change, you know that it now takes a mockery of a detour via Sprindrift Avenue, Manchester Road and Marsh Wall before terminating at Crossharbour, apparently the former D3 route which now takes over the withdrawn 277 section between Canary Wharf and Leamouth.
Isle of Dogs residents can speak more for the changes, but it just seems like another long ting from TfL. Nice buses, though, the MMCs.

East London route 205X: Aldgate Station - Harrow Road, Elgin Avenue
Approaching Elgin Avenue / Chippenham Road (MN)
Route 205X was another route to anticipate new buses during this year's Notting Hill Carnival. The service was mostly allocated MMCs from route 277, common to the normal 205 service, anyway.
Additionally, route 205X became the first route to my knowledge to use the A40 Westway from Marylebone Road, the re-route bypassing Edgware Road and Paddington Green to rejoin paralleling route 18 to the carnival at Bishop's Bridge.
