London Sovereign route 139: Waterloo Station, Tenison Way - Golders Green Station
Approaching Regent Street / St. James's (Z)

VHR45203-08 are the first 'New Routemasters' to be purchased by a London bus operator, as well as the first to be mounted onto a Volvo B5LH chassis. A full batch of VHRs were rumoured for the 139, but none seem imminent with VHs in abundance at Edgware (BT). Pictured is an odd-working VHR, primarily allocated to route 183.

More to be said about these vehicles in a long overdue Borismaster Watch catch-up on London Connected, but my main view of the VHRs is that Volvo should have been chosen from the start.
