London Central route N136: Chislehurst, War Memorial - Oxford Circus

London Central started their new contract to route N136 from New Cross (NX) on 27 May 2017. Existing hybrid buses from route 436 introduced the route to the Go-Ahead subsidiary, most commonly WHVs.
I hadn't noticed anything other than 61-reg WHVs on the N136 until this 66-reg flagged up on LVF. Although disappointing to arrive without blinds but with an infamous paper display instead, it is not a surprise the N136 is not fitted as the vehicle is one of many to have transferred from London General to London Central following the closure of Mandela Way Bus Garage in July.
The odd-working is pictured zooming along Victoria Street, interestingly away from the bus stop it is approaching: from Victoria Station, the N136 almost has to complete a circle via Grosvenor Place and Bressenden Place to access the southern part of Victoria Street en route Westminster.

London Central route 453: Deptford Bridge - Marylebone Station
Approaching Great Central Street (M)
More paper display action with route 453. The bus is pictured almost if not completely empty as it approaches the last stop, which would not be a surprise if the stop was not one that is reasonably demanded. I wonder how effective the displays were as a secondary measure throughout the whole journey.

London Central route 286: Queen Elizabeth Hospital - Greenwich, Cutty Sark
Approaching Westhorne Road / St Barnabus Church (T)
I had been noticing a trend of double-deckers, mainly the odd WVL, sneaking onto route 286 for a morning drive, so I made use of a 4-hour break to check out a WHV gallivanting the single-decker service on this day. The bus is empty so this picture does not justify the working, but good fun, anyway. Bar the paper display.

London Central route 172: Clerkenwell Green - Brockley Rise, Chandos

Go-Ahead started a new contract to route 172 from New Cross (NX) on 17 March 2018. Its new buses, EH194-215, were on the roads ahead of the service change and the route is one of many behind the recent influx of new E40H MMCs at New Cross.
However, WHV165 caught me by surprise with its blank destination blinds. Originally a Putney (AF) bus, WHV165 transferred via Stockwell (SW) to NX to partially represent a new B5LH-Gemini 3 presence at the garage consisting of existing examples primarily sourced from Croydon (C), as if to compensate for the short-term residency of route 1 which moved out to Morden Wharf (MG) with its WHVs on the same day the 172 moved in.
