A flight of four F100D Super Sabres on the ground prior to a close formation flying display during an open day at Belle Chase Naval airbase in Louisiana.
First flown in 1953, the F-100 Super Sabre was developed from the F-86, and was the world’s first fighter capable of supersonic speed in level flight. Used widely during the Vietnam War, the North American F-100D was the fighter-bomber version of the F-100 interceptor and first entered service in 1956.

A 2.5 minute video of the journey from Wolsztyn to Poznan in western Poland behind PKP Ol49 2-6-2 59 on the 11.13 train.
Stanislav the driver was on the regulator & Pietr the fireman. I was allowed to drive most of the intermediate section of the 50 mile journey but Stanislav handled the departure from Wolsztyn and the arrival under the wires of the Berlin-Warsaw main line at Poznan.
Obviously there is no footage of me driving & the sequence ends on shed at Poznan on the lay-over before returning on the 15.15 to Wolsztyn.

Spot the Ball.
The New Orleans Jazz were a NBA Basketball team & played in the Louisiana Superdome, on this night they were up against the Chicago Bulls but I forget the final score. However the power of the internet tells me the Jazz won 5-1.
In 1979 the owner of the team decided to move his team to Utah where it became the Utah Jazz. Surprisingly because Salt Lake City had no history of playing Jazz!

Louisiana Cypress Lumber Co standard gauge 2-8-0 Number 3, a H.K.Porter Company of Pittsburgh, PA product, dating from 1914, "preserved" in Depot Park in Ponchatoula, Louisiana. I don't know what condition it is in today but it certainly wasn't brilliant in 1977.
We had driven out of New Orleans towards Baton Rouge & about half way there came across this locomotive rusting away in a park in Ponchatoula, a small town established in 1820 as a logging camp, and couldn't resist a photo.
