A 30 inch diameter, 8.5 foot log. It was too heavy to lift with the splitter until I cut off the first 2 foot chunk. Lifting and cutting is much faster because you don't have to roll the log to get the bottom cut away from the ground.
The large pieces are done with the bottom (inverted) splitter, from the drivers seat. After they are split into a reasonable size I finish them up on the smaller top splitter from outside of the cab.
This attachment was designed and built by me. The idea was from a picture of one with just the bottom splitter, on eBay. The top side was my idea as a result of too much time spent chasing the smaller hunks around from inside the cab.
