User / John's Photo Philosophy / Fake Lizard (Old School style)
Luminosity 7 / 4,901 items
I could have taken the cheaters' way out and dialed up an AI image of perfection and then called it my own "work". Might have even been Explored (joke!). But I don't deliberately lie, and that's what it would be. So as another protest against the proliferation of Artificial Intelligence images on Flickr here is an old school version.

The story here is that I found this green plastic lizard on the path outside the John Hart Conservatory. I imagine a child must have dropped it. That gave me the idea for this photo. Special effects the way it used to be done. No pretense here, everyone knows it's not real, and it actually required a camera and a photographer to produce it.

AI kills creativity
If you have some time please take a look at this frightening video about AI created music:
Did AI Just End Music? (Now it’s Personal) ft. Rick Beato
www.youtube.com/watch?v=wgvHnp9sbGM

Scary isn't it. Humans becoming redundant even as the "Transhumanist" theorists of the past (e.g. Donna Haraway, the feminist cyborg scholar) pointed out would happen.

I saw a brilliant quote the other day to this effect:
"When AI came out we were promised it would do all the everyday tasks for us and give us more time to create. In reality now AI is doing the creating and humans are reduced to doing the menial tasks."
That sounds like a new slavery to me!

REAL PHOTOGRAPHY NOT AI.

RESIST ARTIFICIAL INTELLIGENCE IN ART!

*** Right now some AI machine (which is designed to read the entire internet) is scanning your photos and mine on Flickr to possibly use as part of an artificially constructed image (without any regard for copyright or royalties). You may not think AI affects you, but you'd be wrong. Flickr did nothing to support real photography by introducing the oxymoronic category of "Virtual Photography". There is no such thing! ***
