Here at Low Head Lighthouse in northern Tasmania we look out on the sea of Bass Strait. It was late in the afternoon, and this was my first attempt at using an ND filter.

An early Bill Brandt inspired shot. Once again the little Lumix has captured the light well. This is still in my favourite black and white shots. It's all about the composition.

The King's Bridge in Launceston marks the entrance to the Cataract Gorge. This steel structure was first erected in 1864 from wrought iron shipped out from Manchester, England. In 1904 a second span was erected to accommodate the first motor vehicles.
