During the time when Geelong aimed to promote itself as a city with a thriving beach culture, it secured the services of a local artist Jan Mitchell, to create these colourful bollard displays. Made from the pylons of the old Geelong pier dismantled in the 1980s, they represent different facets of Geelong's history and culture.
