We spent a few days in Algonquin Park in hopes of seeing a few winter birds like we did last year. Alas, this year there were only a few of the regulars hanging around. Not evening a single Evening Grosbeak showed up. The American Goldfinches were plentiful though; even more than the Chickadees! I was able to get these two shots of their winter colors. The one image clearly shows the patterns on the back wings. It was fun to practice with these birds for Wing Wednesday.
