Times are changing in London. Cycle lanes are appearing, cycle specific traffic lights and of course plenty of cyclists.
A gaggle of a dozen cyclists are seen passing through Parliament Square and heading home after a day in the office.
In the background is the newly restored Elizabeth Tower the home of Big Ben.

Beloved for their plaintive calls and ability to deftly maneuver across rough bark while defying gravity, red-breasted nuthatches are year-round residents in our area, including our back yard.
I watched this individual for half an hour, and realized what a great blind my hammock would make. I nabbed the camera with the bazooka lens and settled in and waited for the birds to get used to my presence again, then happily photographed them for around an hour. I think this individual had nabbed either an insect larva or a seed- can't tell even when zooming in fully.
