This was a short but memorable hike, done on Mother's Day last year. It was blazing hot that day, and I headed out to catch a sunrise/early morning hike at Rowena, then drove back to Mosier to have the fam meet me for a picnic lunch and to hike Mosier Plateau. But it was SO hot that after less than a half mile we realized the boys weren't going to have a good time of it, so the younger two turned back with Michael accompanying them.
However, Henry volunteered to finish the hike with me, which I thought was very fitting - considering he's the one that first made me a mom.
