Fluidr / Rabbit by Marie Brown Cottage Garden

I had heard the Orioles in my trees calling to each other all day and decided to try to find them. I walked down the neighbor's fence row on the farm and happened upon this quite surprised rabbit. He sat and watched me for a few minutes and hopped off. I think he looks a little surprised. These are much larger rabbits than we normally see here. I have been told they were ordered by and introduced to the farm by a beagle owner years ago. He let his dogs run them but he did not shoot them. It is fun in the evening to watch them chase and play from my dock as I lounge and enjoy the end of the day. They are prey for our eagles and osprey and foxes.
