Taken from kayak at a very high tide. Normally these white pelicans roost on Grassy Island in the middle of Morro Bay. But at extremely high tides that island is covered in water so they move elsewhere, this time to the sand spit. This shot was taken about an hour after the adjacent shot and after the fog had rolled in.
