After so many columbine pictures I still can't resist taking pictures of them ;-) Once more, the spindle at our garden shack served as a nice background and gives a nice color contrast to the blue of the columbine. Even though one can see the peduncle, it seems to me like it is hovering. Hope you like it!

Up to now, I haven't noticed the beautiful crocuses by our cherry tree. Since they grow right beside the tree's trunk, I put my camera as low to the ground as possible and used the crocuses in the foreground as a colorful framing, where some reflections in the background created a nice bokeh. Again, this was shot with my Helios 44-2. Hope you like it!

Finally I found some time to process another image from one of our November morning walks, where we got some beautiful hoarfrost. Although the scenery was absolutely stunning, it was very difficult to capture an image which conveys the beauty due to the chaotic nature of the woodland. To simplify the chaos, I thus ended up with this pretty tight crop of three trees whose branches were covered in a layer of frost like in a winter fairytale. Hope you like it!

When I came home yesterday, I noticed that our cat Schecki wasn’t waiting for me at our entrance door like he usually was, but instead he was lying in the meadow right next to the street. When I got out of my car I usually heard him miaowing since he wanted to be fed or if my father already fed him he wanted to be pet, but I also didn’t hear him miaowing yesterday. Hence I walked to him and noticed that he was already dead (he must have been hit by a car). Even though he was a restless rascal he always followed me on my photo tours through our garden and was permanently miaowing since he wanted to be pet. I also remember that I once was photographing a small little daisy and he was miaowing, but after ignoring him a few minutes he just walked to the daisy I was photographing and bit it off :-P I still remember how shy he was in the beginning and after we started to feed him he got more and more a cuddly cat and now he is in heaven by my mum. I will miss you so much, Schecki!

Yet another shot of our marguerites, which is more focused on the flowers than on the bokeh since there was no special background around. Anyway, I quite like this picture since it seems like they are hugging each other. Hope you like it!
