In late summer corn lilies begin to let it be known that the long warm days of summer are quickly drawing to a close. I really enjoy photographing this transition a the striking color contrast and hint at demise is visually interesting, to me at least. This particular grouping of lilies was photographed high in the Glacier Peak Wilderness in Washington State.
