'Merlin' identifies this raptor as a Merlin. He was quite distant but luckily remained still for 10-15 shots, of which I picked 6 and ran them in Zerene Stacker. The shot was handheld and there was some movement (old shaky hands/arms), so first step in Zerene was to align all images.
The end result posted here is way better than any single image for amount of detail.
Don't we all wish they were closer!
