The telltale "storybook" chimney made with rocks and irregular bricks, the "Spanish" tile roof, the irregular roofline, the window grills, a built-in garage. Originally the Santa Fe RR ran nearby. This neighborhood is confusing, as several electric lines criss-crossed it. In fact, the area thrived as "commuter's town" because of the electric lines. Now, BART runs on that old route, and a walking/biking trail parallels it.
