Another old barn from the Dillingham, NC, area. The open-work planking can be seen here, too. Doors are located on the west and east sides, four of them altogether. Interestingly, each section has its own two doors, so there must be an interior wall. The south, dark, side abuts the creek. Again, it's a two-story affair, with hay above. This one also boasts the family mailbox, as the building sits directly on the road. The paved highway has moved a bit since the barn was built many decades ago.
Looking east toward the Blacks Range of the Blue Ridge. Up top, where the dark pines and firs are seen, lies the Blue Ridge Parkway.
