Assembled pretty much at random at a food store salad bar; shot so I'll remember it. Tasty! Grains, raisins, sunflower seeds, greens, carrots, tomatoes, dressing.
They are amazing, but unlovely critters. And as another WU post-er wrote, almost impossible to see on the plant. The giveaway is when you notice a plant with denuded stems, you know there has to be one of these guys nearby. Keep looking till you see it.

Memory of the farm. It was a wonderful life.
Nasturtium flowers are edible, too!

. . .than never!
These tomatoes were harvested in 2013, not by me. We bought several cartons to can, but didn't have time to process the lot, so I chopped and froze quite a few (this is half of them). They've been in the big freezer ever since. I needed to get them out of the freezer, so yesterday I canned a bunch. This way they can sit on the shelf until I'm ready for them, which, in this form, will be regularly! Nothing like one's own canned tomatoes for handy cooking.
If canned tomatoes turn you on, please visit my Album, "Tomatoes and Canning". Thanks!!

Member of the Nightshade family. Toxic and sharply prickly, but lovely when in bloom.
It's interesting to remember that the following are also members of the Nightshade Family: potatoes, bell peppers, tomatoes, tomatillos, eggplant, chili peppers.
And named for our area:
