My old favorite, growing in the Tilden Botanical Garden, Berkeley. It's hard to believe that this plant, now encouraged in special gardens, was once common along the roadsides all over America. In California I have never seen such giant specimens as grew in North Carolina, my old home. See my stream for other examples.
