He/she took a vacation--for refurbishment--from its (their??) spot on the plaza of the Lawrence Hall of Science, a children's museum at the UC Berkeley campus. It needed it, after decades of display in the open air, thousands of feet from the ocean! Now it has a shiny new surface, enticing the children to climb!
Can you find the eye? Just above the white patch?
She’s a ‘fin whale’, I read. Their global population is about 100,000 individuals. A world moratorium has been issued on hunting them, although some still do.
